Back in Dec of 2013, I had Terry down to Virginia to do some Civil War Relic hunting. We had a great time and Terry found some really nice period relics and proved to be a good guy. You can see videos of that weekend here and here. Terry returned the favor and invited me up to Delaware, his home state to do some metal detecting recently.
I went up on a Friday secured a hotel room and later met Terry, his girlfriend and both his boys for dinner. The next morning Terry picked me up at the hotel and we headed off to our first site. This colonial era house is still being lived in, the owner was very nice and welcoming to this southern. Long story, short...I pulled six large cents out of the front yard, few buttons and other coins. We hit a few other sites that produced some quality finds. Day two was another colonial site and the owners invited us in for a tour of the house. Very nice folks and a beautiful house, but for me the finds were all modern. Terry scored on a couple nice finds, one being a 1793 Liberty Cap Large cent.
Driving around the Dover area you can see historical structures all over the place. Terry has a nice area to metal detect and it shows in his videos. Bottom line, Terry is a stand up guy and he really loves history and metal detecting. I hit a personal best for me with six LC's in one day. Take a look at these two videos of the Delaware finds.
Good luck and HH
