Artifact Recovery:

It's hard to comprehend the amount of history that is just below our feet or just below the surface of the water. People have been leaving behind artifacts here in the US for thousands of years. Read this story about the oldest artifact recovered in the US here

Responsible recovery of artifacts is paramount. No question the artifacts themselves are important, but the provenience or context in which they were recovered is equally important. Think of provenience as the three-dimensional location or exact place an artifact was found. Using state of the art metal detectors, proven search and recovery techniques as well as video and GPS ensures that the provenience is recovered with the artifact.

Many times a structure has long been gone from the visual observation stand point, but the ground around where that structure once stood is alive with history just waiting to be found. One could find old coins, buttons and personal items from years gone by.

Over the years I have met and worked with some outstanding folks that share the same passion for history and artifact recovery as I do. So, it doesn't matter where you are, chances are I can get you in touch with the right person. I'm here in Virginia and can travel the surrounding states.

Personal items:

Lost a ring or some type of jewelry...I can help. People lose metal objects all the time. Most of the time, those items can be recovered by a well trained metal detectorist. Whether it was on the land or in the water its a very good chance I can recovery it for you. I recovered the gold ring in the photo to the left for a guy who lost it several years prior while hunting birds on a shooting preserve.

Most of the time, there is "NO CHARGE" to recover lost jewelry.
